Welcome to the website of Viljar Stables, Icelandic horse specialists in Huittinen, Finland.Viljar Stables started in Laitila in 2002, and, following two moves, eventually found itshome in Huittinen in the spring of 2005, where new stables were built.As well as importing and training Icelandic horses, we also have a shop, both onsite and online,where visitors can buy accessories, clothing, in fact everything equestrian!
Icelandic Horses
Icelandic horses are a unique breed. Despite their small size they are very strong,capable of carrying grown men and women easily. They are gentle and good-natured,with a unique gait, called tölt, which is smooth and steady.The tölt and the pleasant character of Icelandic horses make them ideal for beginnersof all ages and sizes, and a pleasure to ride for more experienced riders. Viljar normally has around 10-20 Icelandic horses in the stables.
